The Arcus Operating Foundation, a global foundation that aims to promote respect for diversity among peoples and in nature, made a major announcement this week in regards to raising funds to support the Russian queer community.
Arcus stated that the organization will match up to $50,000 in donations to The Russia Freedom Fund. The Fund is a tax-deductible way to aid lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Russians on their journey to access to full rights and citizenty.
“Increasing individual awareness and financial support for LGBT causes around the globe are critical to the long-term success of the LGBT movement, and we are delighted to encourage both of these objectives with this matching grant,” Adrian Coman, Arcus’ International Human Rights Program Director, said in a statement.
Give OUT 2014 is a one day fundraising event that that seeks to rally support for causes that benefit LGBT causes. It is annual event sponsored by Bolder Giving, a non-profit organization that inspires greater individual giving to worthy causes.
